A 1st Franklin loan office has opened in Greeneville, at 2317 E. Andrew Johnson Hwy.

The office officially opened on Monday, and a grand opening celebration will be held at a later date, a news release said.

The announcement was made by Joe Cherry, vice president of 1st Franklin Financial Corporation.

The branch manager in Greeneville will be Phil Neas, and the regional operations director is Brian Hill.

The company offers starter loans, personal loans and consolidation loans.

"Our Greeneville staff cordially invites the community to visit our office, Cherry said.

1st Franklin Corporation has been in the consumer finance business since 1941.

The business has headquarters in Toccoa, Ga., and operates 260 branch loan offices in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee, the news release said.

Business hours at the Greeneville office are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, except that Wednesday is 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
