Bojangles Restaurant To Open On Friday

Bojangles Famous Chicken 'n Biscuits restaurant will open locally on Friday at 3240 E. Andrew Johnson Hwy.

Bojangles is known for the spicy blend of seasoning used on its chicken, along with fresh-made buttermilk biscuits, "dirty rice" and Cajun pintos.

The restaurant serves breakfast beginning at 5 a.m. and continues offering the breakfast menu all day, said area director Steve Rex, who was at the restaurant earlier this week making final preparations for the opening.

Dinner options are available later in the day.

Bojangles features both a drive-thru and in-store dining.

Menu specialties include Cajun chicken and biscuits made fresh from scratch daily at the restaurant.

The spacious dining room offers free wi-fi and two large flat-screen televisions.

The local manager is Tina Burton, who will direct a staff of about 50 associates.

"We're fully staffed for now, but we're always looking for quality people," Burton said.

Founded in Charlotte, N.C., in 1977, the restaurant chain now has more than 500 Bojangles locations in 10 states.

The Greeneville location is the 30th restaurant in the BOJ of WNC, LLC franchise, which is based in Asheville, N.C.

The franchise has plans to continue growing in the East Tennessee markets with possible additions on the east end of Morristown, Jefferson City and Dandridge, Rex said.

Hours of operation are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
