The Greeneville law firm of Milligan & Coleman announces that Brandy M. Burnette has joined the firm.
Burnette, a native of Kingsport, practiced in Nashville for eight years with Gideon & Wiseman and Hall, Booth, Smith & Slover before relocating to Greeneville in order to join Milligan & Coleman.
Burnette is the daughter of Cisco and Teresa Burnette of Kingsport. She is engaged to marry Jason Scott Moore, of Kingsport, later this year.
After graduating from Sullivan South High School, she attended Emory & Henry College and graduated summa cum laude in 1998.
She received her law degreee from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., in 2001.
Burnette was inducted into Cumberland's faculty-selected honor society, Curia Honoris, and graduated magna cum laude.
While at Cumberland, Burnette was articles editor of the Cumberland Law Review, a Cordell Hull Teaching Fellow in Legal Research and Writing, and Justice of Cumberland's chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International.
Immediately after receiving her law degree, she served as a judicial law clerk to U.S. District Judge William M. Acker, Jr., of the Northern District of Alabama.
Burnette joins Gene Gaby, Tom Kilday, Ron Woods, Jeff Ward, Tom Garland Jr., and Sunny Sandos in practice with the firm.
