The Tourism Department of the Greene County Partnership will host the ninth annual Antique Appraisal Fair and Antique Show on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Greeneville High School, located at 210 Tusculum Blvd., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Admission is free.

The event will feature certified appraisers that will assess the value of antique treasures brought in by the public.

Admission on Saturday is free. A fee of $5 will be charged per piece to be appraised, a news release says.

Also featured at the event will be local and regional antique shops displaying and selling their wares throughout the day, as well as local museums and historical attractions, according to the release.

Once again this year, the event will offer a "Preview Party" on Friday, Feb. 14, from 7 to 9 p.m. for those who would like to purchase their treasures early.

The event will feature live entertainment, a silent auction, light hors d'oeuvres and the opportunity to shop the vendors early.

Admission for the Preview Party will be $10 per person. Tickets are limited and can be purchased at the Greene County Partnership office at 115 Academy St. or Richland Creek Gifts at 129 N. Main St.

A meet-and-greet with the appraisers and more than 40 antique dealers will be available as well, the release says.

The event is a project of the Tourism Department of the Greene County Partnership and is sponsored by Greeneville City Schools.
