Deli Express is the newest stop for subs in town.
The deli opened Dec. 10 in the Zoomerz gas station, near Walmart, in the former location of Red Rocks Pizza, at 3990 E. Andrew Johnson Hwy.
Kim Humphreys, owner of Deli Express, said the menu features sandwiches, salads, and soups, as well as breakfast.
Humphreys has been in the sandwich business since she was 18 years old.
She owned Tannery Express and later sold it to Nicole Jones who renamed it Tannery West.
Before that, she cooked at Tannery Downtown. In recent years, she was the cook at the Chew Choo Cafe in Johnson City.
Deli Express offers drive-through service.
Hours are 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The telephone number is 525-5743.
