Dr. Beth Bulawa has joined the surgery team at Takoma Medical Associates (TMA).
She specializes in general, breast and laparoscopic surgery. "I like to take care of people," Bulawa said.
"I especially like providing care to breast surgery patients. You really get to know them," Bulwara commented in a news release.
"I am excited to work at Takoma because of their commitment to total wellness.
"I really like the CREATION Health program because healthy living is so important after surgeries, especially breast surgeries."
CREATION Health is a lifestyle program that advocates small changes that can improve overall wellness in eight areas that spell "CREATION" -- choice, rest, environment, activity, trust in a divine power, interpersonal relationships, outlook and nutrition.
Bulawa, who is board-certified, has joined Dr. Robert Bridges at the surgery practice located on the second floor of the TMA building at 438 E. Vann Road.
She is now accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment, please call 278-1704.
Bulawa received her medical degree from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., and completed her general surgery residency and her general surgery chief residency at Albany Medical Center, also in New York.
She lives in Greeneville with her husband, Dr. Erick Bulawa, who is joining TMA's internal medicine practice in early September.
They have four children. The family loves to golf together and attends Notre Dame Catholic Church.
