Governor's Bend In Erwin Features 3 Layout Options,

Governor's Bend retirement and assisted living facility will open on Tuesday, Oct. 16, in Erwin.
Owned and operated by Free Will Baptist Family Ministries, Governor's Bend is a 48,000 square-foot facility with 52 suites and three different layout options, a news release stated.
"We are excited that our building is complete and that our residents are now able to move in," said Frank Woods, chief executive officer and president of Free Will Baptist Family Ministries. "Our residents have been patiently a waiting this day for many months."
Governor's Bend also offers many amenities such as a library, spa, beauty salon, barber shop, chapel, wireless internet, cable television, one-floor living, private mailboxes, 24-hour emergency assistance and dining services.
"This day will begin the next chapter in our residents' lives, and I am pleased to be a part of that." said Johnnie Lyons, Executive Director of Governor's Bend in the news release. "The staff is excited to welcome the residents into their home and begin forming a community here at Governor's Bend."
Greene County-based Free Will Baptist Family Ministries has been providing unconditional love and support to young people and their families since 1939 through residential group homes, The Hope Center and The Oaks Retreat Center.
Governor's Bend Retirement and Assisted Living Facility, along with the Laurels Retirement and Living Facility, expand those services to a new population group.
