Gino's Promises Fresh, Italian Cuisine

Though they come from northern Europe and have worked or lived in New York and multiple places in Tennessee, the owners of Greeneville's newest Italian restaurant say they are excited to finally have their own location in Greeneville.

"It's great to be in this community!" said Jimmy Oruglica, co-owner of Gino's Italian Restaurant.

He and his brothers -- Dino and Adam Oruglica -- opened Gino's Nov. 18 in the Greeneville Commons.

Jimmy arrives at 6 a.m. each day to prepare items for their wide-ranging menu.

"All our food is made fresh," Jimmy said. "Our food is prepared as we go, and it's our tradition."

Gino's offers everything from pasta and pizza to seafood and sandwiches. So far, popular items include pizzas -- which are baked in brick ovens -- lasagna, chicken Marsala, chicken parmigiana and Philly steak sandwiches. Seafood is another popular menu choice.

"We've got quite a big selection," he said.

Lunch specials are offered Monday-Saturday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Sauces and dough for pizza and breadsticks are made fresh daily, first thing in the morning, Jimmy said. Each entree is made fresh as it's ordered.

The brothers at one time worked at another Greeneville restaurant before branching out on their own.

They owned restaurants in other counties but have focused their attention on the new Greeneville location.

Gino's is open seven days a week: 11 a.m.-10 p.m., Sunday-Thursday, and 11 a.m.-11 p.m., Friday and Saturday.

For more information, call Gino's at 636-3002 or go to GreenevilleMarketplace.com/Ginos.

Gino's is located in the Greeneville Commons, 1345 Tusculum Blvd.
