DTR Tennessee, Inc. has received two distinguished customer awards for 2011 -- one from Honda and the other from Toyota.
AWARD FROM HONDA
The Honda Quality Award presented to DTR is presented to the top suppliers for Honda America.
Recipients of the award must be in the top 15 percent of Honda suppliers in quality performance and above-average in delivery performance.
Honda America has approximately 600 suppliers.
DTR supplies Honda with 276 different parts with an annual volume of more than 13 million pieces for usage on 12 different Honda vehicles.
This award was for the DTR facilities located in Midway and Tazewell.
AWARD FROM TOYOTA
The Toyota Excellent Quality Award was presented to the DTR facility in Tazewell.
DTR Tazewell was one of only 13 suppliers that received this award.
Toyota has more than 500 suppliers.
DTR Tennessee supplies Toyota with 455 different parts with an annual volume of more than 32 million pieces and used in 12 different Toyota vehicles.
"We are truly honored to receive these two awards from Honda and Toyota for our performance in 2011," said Tetsu Matsui, President and COO of DTR Tennessee, Inc., in a news release.
"We are very fortunate to have very good customers that produce quality vehicles. It is an excellent statement of the quality associates we have and their continued dedication to providing our customers with top quality products," Matsui said.
