Laughlin Memorial Hospital and Laughlin Medical Group Orthopedics recently announced the appointment of Kevin Strohmeyer, M.D. to their medical staff in the practice of orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Strohmeyer received his orthopedic training at Tripler Medical Center in Hawaii while serving in the U.S. Army.
He completed 11 years of military service as an attending orthopedic surgeon at Fort Hood, Texas.
During his service at Fort Hood he was deployed overseas twice, including combat service in Kuwait and Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
Prior to his relocation to Greeneville, Dr. Strohmeyer served as a civilian orthopedic surgeon for the U.S. Army at Fort Hood.
Dr. Strohmeyer received his undergraduate degree in finance at the University of Florida. He completed his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
He completed an internship in general surgery and his residency as an orthopedic surgeon at Tripler Army Medical Center.
He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Surgeons.
Dr. Strohmeyer's hobbies include boating, hiking and RV camping. He is an avid sports enthusiast. His special sports interests include football, baseball and auto racing.
Dr. Strohmeyer welcomes new orthopedic patients to his medical practice, Laughlin Medical Group Orthopedics, which is located in Medical Office Building 2 at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.
His areas of specialty include general orthopedics, sports injuries, arthroscopy, shoulder problems, knee problems, joint replacement, fracture care and many other related areas of orthopedics.
