After more than two decades in the pizza business, does Greeneville's Debbie Goode get tired of it?
"Oh no!" she said, "My favorite is the veggie."
Goode, a district manager for Little Caesars pizza, was presented with the Supervisor of the Year award by the franchise operator Restaurant Management Group (RMG).
"It makes me feel appreciated," Goode said.
The award, accepted by her at an event in Kingsport, takes into consideration not only quality assurance and inspection scores, but more subjective criteria such as guest comments.
Goode is in charge of nine Little Caesars locations, part of the 40 that RMG own throughout Tennessee, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.
Starting out as a regular crew member when the first Little Caesars opened in Greeneville, Goode has climbed the ranks and continues to climb.
She has plans to open a location in Georgia this month.
When away from the pizza business, Goode enjoys spending time with her family and dog in Greeneville.
