As of June 1, McInturff, Milligan & Brooks, Inc. has purchased The Moore Agency, Inc.

Paul Moore Jr. the principal of The Moore Agency, Inc., after many years of service, has retired from the insurance industry.

McInturff, Milligan & Brooks as of June 1, will be servicing all of The Moore Agency clients.

McInturff, Milligan & Brooks has also been appointed to represent State Auto Insurance Company.

All clients of The Moore Agency are invited to contact McInturff, Milligan & Brooks in person at Towne Square Shopping Center or by phone at 423-639-5171 for all their insurance needs, according to a news release.

McInturff, Milligan & Brooks, Inc. is the combination of insurance agencies dating back to 1910.

They affiliated themselves with one of the world's largest publicly-owned insurance brokerage firms from the early 1970s to the early 1980s.

Then in 1983, they reestablished their independence to become one of the area's largest locally-owned independent insurance firms.

McInturff, Milligan & Brooks has a total of 17 insurance professionals, with a combined total of more than 400 years' experience.

They are not restricted to or controlled by any insurance company, so their clients' needs and interests always come first, a spokesman said.
