Knoxville-based Mortgage Investors Group (MIG) on Wednesday officially opened a new location in Greeneville -- the company's 19th -- with an open house and ceremonial ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The independent mortgage lender is now open at 3145 E. Andrew Johnson Hwy.

The production team includes Joyce Keisling and Sherri Dickenson, who assist customers in obtaining home financing and determine the best loan product for each situation.

The team specializes in first-time home-buyers, THDA, FHA, VA, Rural Housing, second home, and investment property financing.

Vice president Chris White said the company is a people-based company. The company's draw to Greeneville was mortgage specialist Keisling.

"When you find the right people, then you open the business," White said.

Keisling has 15 years of experience in lending, and said she is excited to join MIG. She was formerly with Capital Bank.

MIG is the state's third-largest mortgage lender, White said. He attributes the group's success to its independence and local emphasis.

"We do it all from here, and that's what makes us faster," White said.

He said that the group can close on a mortgage loan within 30 days of initial application.
