New Greeneville Antiques Store Now Open On W. Andrew Johnson Hwy.

One of Greeneville's newest antique stores has opened at 766 W. Andrew Johnson Hwy. in the former Antiques Etc. location.

Southern Antiques strives to keep high-end antiques at reasonable prices, according to owners Mandy and David Shipley, who have collected antiques for over 10 years.

They said they have furniture in pristine condition that dates back to the early 1700s. Their vendors have more than 50 years of experience in collecting and selling great antiques and traveling from state-to-state, bringing antiques to East Tennessee.

The Shipleys said whether a customer is an avid antique collector or just starting out, the store has something for everyone.

Some of the pieces on display include furniture in oak cherry woods, country and primitive design; glassware -- Fenton, Fostoria, Blue Ridge; Crocks -- Harmon, Decker; baskets, lamps, quilts, advertising signage, tools, churns -- Dazey, Indian Head; iron skillets -- Lodge, Wagner and much more.

Vendor booth space is available for rent.

Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., and Sunday, 1-5 p.m. For more information, please call Southern Antiques at 787-7442
