Superior Metal Products, Inc. was recently recognized as one of the top 40 fabrication companies in the United States by The Fabricator, a leading trade publication for the metal fabricating industry.

This was in conjunction with the 2013 FAB 40 competition sponsored by The Fabricator.

In business since 1966, Superior Metal Products is a metal stamping company.

Superior Metal Products, at 2463 Highway 107, in Chuckey, provides comprehensive metal working services to customers in a broad range of industries.

The company's services include stamping, laser cutting, tool and die creation and all types of welding.

"We're really pleased to earn this recognition from The Fabricator," said Danny Mathes, president of Superior Metal Products in a news release.

"Our team works hard to ensure that our customers get excellent service and finished products, and that has helped us build a solid reputation that brings in more business," Mathes said.

The 2013 FAB 40 competition was open to more than 1,000 contacts, who defined their businesses as metal fabricators according to the North American Industry Classification System.

The rankings were based on 2012 revenues.

Superior Metal Products ranked 36th on the list with 2012 revenue of $6.9 million.

Superior Metal Products works with customers in a variety of industries, including agriculture, transportation, industrial and automotive aftermarket.
