The Donaldson Company is constructing a new filter manufacturing plant in Skarbimierz, Poland to serve the filtration needs of the European and Russian markets, according to a news release.

Based in Minnesota, Donaldson is a leading worldwide provider of filtration systems, with nearly 13,000 employees at more than 100 sales, manufacturing, and distribution locations around the world.

The company's local plant, at 115 Rockwell Drive, off Industrial Road, has about 160 to 190 year-round employees, producing air elements and air filters for over-the-road trucks and off-road vehicles such as bulldozers, backhoes and bobcats.

In Poland, the Donaldson facility will be dedicated to the production of heavy duty oil filters for the on-road and off-road equipment markets.

The new Polish plant is expected to open in 2015. Donaldson currently has plants in the Czech Republic and Russia.

Donaldson is a member of the S&P MidCap 400 and Russell 1000 and trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol DCI.
