A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for a burglary between Wednesday night and Thursday morning at West Greene High School, sheriff Steve Burns said today.
A back wall was removed off a storage building on school property, Deputy Mike Shipley said in a report.
A Cub Cadet Zero-Turn rider mower valued at $5,000 was taken.
Also stolen were three weed trimmers, a roll of weed trimmer string, a pressure washer, a metal gas can and a plastic gas jug. The total value of the stolen items is $1,800.
Damage to two padlocks and chains totals $50.
The burglary was discovered at 5:55 a.m. Thursday. No suspects are listed in the report.
