Three David Crockett High School students injured Thursday afternoon in the crash of a school bus on Mt. Wesley Road in Washington County remained hospitalized this morning, Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC) spokeswoman Teresa Hicks said this morning.

The students are in stable condition at Niswonger Children's Hospital on the JCMC campus.

They were among 27 high school students injured when the school bus they were riding in flipped at least three times after the driver lost control of the bus in the 400 block of Mt. Wesley Road in Telford.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

A report on the wreck "is expected late this week," THP spokeswoman Dalya Qualls said today.
