Greeneville police continue an investigation into a burglary at Bernard Billiards, 412 E. Bernard Ave., that netted $6,400 in cash.
The burglary occurred between midnight and 8 a.m. Thursday, business owner Brad Key told police.
"Someone broke into the pool hall, stealing a cash register containing $400 and a safe containing $6,000," Officer Kevin Guinn said in a report.
Entry was apparently made by prying a hinged lock off the basement door.
"The front door was unlocked on [Key's] arrival, so he believes that is how the suspect[s] exited," the report said.
The safe and cash register were behind a locked office door in the business that was forced open, the report said.
A pry bar was left at the scene.
It was placed into evidence, and an attempt will be made to lift fingerprints, the report said.
A male suspect was named. Police spoke to the man Thursday afternoon. No charges were filed.
