A Special 'Crockett Christmas' Planned This Saturday At Park

Davy Crockett Birthplace State Park will sponsor a "Crockett Christmas" from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the park, located off U.S. 11E between Greeneville and Limestone.

Follow direction signs to the park from U.S. 11E.

Visitors "will be able to get a glimpse of Christmas past," a news release said.

Art Lang and Cathy Ciolac will perform traditional music between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.

"Traditional edibles" and hot cider will be available for all visitors.

"The birthplace cabin will be decorated in pioneer spirit of the early frontier," the release said.

There will be "a candlelit pathway and a nice, warm fire to keep the cold away."

Reenactors will be on hand "to tell stories of David Crockett," the release said.
