The second annual "Buggin' For a Cure" All-VW Car Show and Swap Meet will be held Sept. 7-8 at the Greene County Fairgrounds.
More than 50 craft and business vendors, at least 10 local food vendors, and hundreds of vehicles from multiple states are expected at this year's two-day event.
The event is being hosted by the Northeast Tennessee Volkswagen Association, the Tourism Department of the Greene County Partnership, and the Greene County Fair Association.
All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
Both days will feature on-stage dancing and music, vendors, food, and, of course, plenty of Volkswagen automobiles on display.
There will be meet-and-greet opportunties both days with Count Kustoms' Scott Jones, of The History Channel's "Counting Cars" television show.
'BLUE MOTHER TUPELO'
New this year will be a kids' area with inflatables, face-painting, games and crafts.
On Saturday, a "Crank it Up" stereo competition is planned at 1:45 p.m., with a "Cruise Out" at 4 p.m.
Headlining this year's top-notch entertainment lineup at the Andrew Johnson Bank Pavilion stage will be the original soul music sounds of Blue Mother Tupelo, who will perform on Saturday, at 6 p.m.
Headed by the husband-and-wife team of Ricky and Micol Davis, the group spins out driving melodies and sweet, Southern tones that blend Appalachian acoustic grit with rock and blues, a news release stated.
On Sunday afternoon, at 1 p.m., the day's featured performer will be Annabelle's Curse.
