The 278th Armored Calvary Regiment, Tennessee National Guard, will host the annual presidential wreath-laying in honor of the 204th birthday of President Andrew Johnson on Saturday.

It is the custom for a representative of the President of the United States to place a wreath at the grave of each deceased U.S. President on his birthday.

Traditionally, the Tennessee National Guard has represented the sitting President of the United States for the wreath-laying at the grave of President Johnson.

Major General Max Haston, who is Adjutant General of the State of Tennessee, will be the guest speaker at the ceremony.

The ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery, located at 121 Monument Ave.

The public is invited to attend the ceremony.
