Greeneville attorney Tony G. Lee Jr. died Monday of a heart attack, only hours after a memorial service for his father, Tony G. Lee Sr., who died July 24.

Lee Jr. was 58. He had practiced law in Greeneville for a number of years.

As an attorney, he represented several plaintiffs in cases naming Greene County and other defendants alleging violation of their civil rights.

One case involves former sheriff's Deputy Robert "Robbie" Morgan. The pending case alleges violation of the federal civil rights of a woman Morgan allegedly abused while on duty.

Another case filed last year involves a Greene County Detention Center inmate who suffered a severe beating in 2011 by fellow inmates.

In addition to civil rights law, Lee Jr. also practiced in the areas of criminal defense and family law.

It is not immediately known how the death of Lee Jr. will affect cases he was handling.

Funeral arrangements for Lee Jr. are incomplete.
