Tosha Ann Morelock, 26, of 730 Horace Bitner Road, Chuckey, was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft of property valued at more than $1,000 but less than $10,000, Greeneville police Detective Lt. Pat Hankins said in a report.
Morelock went to a Morristown gold sales business on Dec. 11 and sold three rings and a gold earring stud owned by a woman who reported a Dec. 9 burglary at her Greeneville house, the report said.
More than $12,000 worth of jewelry was taken in the burglary, the report said. The victim identified the items sold in Morristown as her property, the report added.
The value of the rings and earring sold in Morristown is $1,130, according to the report.
Bond was set at $2,500.
