Burned-Out Building Comes Down

Sun photo by Ken Little

Workers from Malone Bros. Excavating Inc. demolish what is left of a two-story building at 306-308 W. Depot St. that was destroyed by fire on Oct. 18. Crews were at the scene Tuesday and were continuing the work today. Fire investigators are following in their path, looking for clues in areas cleared of debris. The cause of that fire, and an unrelated blaze on Oct. 20 that heavily damaged an adjacent building at 310 W. Depot St., remain under investigation. American Patriot Bank is the owner of the building being demolished.
