An in-home caregiver for Mosheim Mayor Billy Myers and his wife, Ruth, is under arrest on theft charges related to the removal of two safes and some $30,000 from the residence, according to a report by the Greene County Sheriff's Department.
Detective Jason Taylor said in his report that the department arrested 36-year-old Janie Josephine Cline, of 1045 Harold Cemetery Road, on Monday.
She was charged with theft over $1,000 but less than $60,000 in connection with alleged actions during November and December 2012.
Cline posted bail on a $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
