Greeneville police are investigating the theft of $20,000 in cash and nearly $60,000 worth of jewelry from a Cottage Drive house.
The homeowner had not been in the house for several weeks. The burglary was reported on Tuesday, Officer Billy Christy said in a report.
In addition to the cash, possessions stolen included several diamond rings, a diamond pendant, $8,000 worth of South African gold coins and a sterling silver flatware service for six, valued at $8,000.
Relatives told police the house was secured on their arrival.
Two possible suspects are listed in the report.
