'Christmas In The Park' Opens Friday Night At Hardin Park

The Town of Greeneville Parks and Recreation Department will launch its annual "Christmas In The Park" display Friday at Hardin Park.

The drive-through event will open at 6 p.m.

It will remain open from 6 to 10 p.m. nightly through the end of December, including Christmas Eve and Christmas.

A news release from the Parks and Recreation Department says this year's presentation includes hundreds of thousands of lights and dozens of figurines and displays.

Many popular cartoon characters are also featured.

There is no admission charge, but a donation box will be set up for anyone wishing to contribute to future expansion of the yearly event.

Church choirs, civic organizations and other groups interested in caroling one night during the month-long event are asked to contact the Parks and Recreation Department by calling 638-3143.
