Randy Keene, of Eudora Farms, leads the eight-year-old dromedary camel named Clyde toward open pasture at the Greene County Fairgrounds on Friday afternoon. The traveling petting farm is from Salley, S.C, and will feature rides with Clyde when the Greene County Fair opens Monday. Gates open at 4 p.m., and the carnival midway opens at 5 p.m. Fairgoers can meet a variety of animals at the petting zoo, including, among others, Harley the African serval cat, Porky the porcupine, and Bugs the alpaca. The fair will continue through Saturday night, Aug. 18.
