A report of shots fired along the 200 block of Dinwiddie Road led to the arrest of a Chuckey man on Friday morning.
The Greene County Sheriff's Department responded to a call about shots fired on Friday to find 29-year-old Bruce Kevin McEachern, of 200 Dinwiddie Road, outside a neighbor's home, according to a report by Deputy Chuck Humphreys.
McEachern reportedly told deputies that he and a friend had been shooting earlier behind his home, Humphreys said in the report.
McEachern had an odor of alcohol, slurred speech, and was "very belligerent," according to the report.
Humphreys said in the report that deputies located 28 spent 40-caliber rounds on McEachern's back porch and a 40-caliber Smith & Wessen hangun.
According to the report, McEachern is a convicted felon and, as a result, was arrested and charged with public intoxication, possession of a handgun while under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and possession of a weapon by a felon.
