Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who slashed another man with a knife and knocked a woman unconscious early Sunday at a house in the 1300 block of Whitehouse Road.

The male victim, 46, of Morristown, told deputies that he and a 42-year-old woman went to the address to pick up some clothing and other possessions when the suspect came out to the driveway and struck the woman on the head and elbow with a baseball bat, a report said.

The assailant then used a "hawkbill knife" to slash the male victim on the lower right side of the back, a report said.

The suspect struck the woman, "knocking her to the ground and unconscious," the report said.

One of the tires on the male victim's car was slashed, causing $150 damage, the report said.

The identity of the alleged assailant is known, the report said.

The conditions of the assault victims was not available this morning.
