A man charged Sunday with domestic assault was also charged with two counts of assault on an officer after allegedly trying to fight with sheriff's deputies responding to a Park Lane address.
Bradley P. Bell, 39, of 255 Park Lane, was additionally charged with resisting arrest.
Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call and while talking with Bell, "He turned aggressive and violent toward officers," Deputy Stacey Lawing said in a report.
Bell "attempted to strike officers several times" and was taken into custody after a "brief struggle" with deputies, the report said.
Before deputies arrived, Bell allegedly knocked a female victim to the ground, the report said.
He was held on no bond pending a first scheduled General Sessions Court appearance today.
