Ron Metcalfe, 2012 United Way general campaign chair, has announced that Aaron and Cynthia Knop will lead the Individual Gifts Division for the United Way campaign.
In this capacity, the Knops have accepted the challenge of raising funds to serve more than 27,000 Greene County residents through the 23 agencies and programs which receive funding from the United Way of Greene County.
Concerning the appointment of the Knops, Metcalfe commented, "We are very happy to have Aaron and Cynthia as Individual Gifts Division Chairs for the second year.
"As dentists, Aaron and Cynthia serve their patients with a giving spirit, and their inspirational leadership helped serve thousands of Greene County residents last year," Metcalfe added.
The Knops opened their new office, ABC Family Dentistry, on Tusculum Boulevard in Greeneville, and they are looking forward to meeting more of their neighbors in Greene County, according to news release.
The Knops have two children, Aubrey and Brandon, and the family attends St. James Episcopal Church.
Dr. Aaron Knop attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and Dr. Cynthia Knop attended Creighton University in Omaha, Neb.
"As we learn more about the benefits our community receives from United Way," the Knops noted, "we are happy to be a part of this extraordinary effort to help people. We are honored to be a part of United Way."
