Members of the Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department responded to a car fire at 1:49 p.m. Sunday at 300 Kite Lane, Mosheim. The car was “fully involved with fire” when the first units arrived, Fire Chief Harold Williamson said. The car was about 50 feet from a single-wide mobile home, which was undamaged. The vehicle was a total loss, Williamson said. The homeowner was burning boxes that were blown under the car by the wind, catching it on fire, the chief said. The owner was not identified. Responding to the scene were six members of the Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department and two trucks, and deputies from the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.
