Flu season is here, and the Greene County Health Department is holding a flu vaccine clinic for area residents.
A mass flu vaccine clinic will be held at the Health Department on Monday, Dec. 10, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
Vaccines will be provided at no charge.
The Health Department is located at 810 West Church St.
The flu vaccine clinic is designed to allow people to be able to get in and out quickly, organizers say.
Appointments must be made, and are now being scheduled at the Health Department.
Please call the department at 798-1749 to make an appointment.
"It takes about two weeks to be protected after you get the flu vaccine, so it's a good idea to get the vaccine as soon as it's available," said Jackie Neas, the Health Department's nursing supervisor.
"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone six months of age and older get a flu vaccine each year, and we urge everyone to take this important preventive step to protect health in our community," Neas added.
