Greeneville resident and Food City cake decorator Rebecca Lougheed was named the winner of the 18th annual International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association (IDDBA) Cake Decorating Challenge.

The competition was held during the IDDBA annual expo June 2 through 4 in Orlando, Fla.

To celebrate the win, Food City will host a reception for her this evening at 6:30 p.m. as she returns from the trip.

Lougheed was one of three finalists in the contest and had been selected from 68 entrants from 31 supermarket chains nationwide, according to a news release from Food City.

Lougheed has worked as a cake decorator for Food City since 2007.

In 2011, she transferred to the Snapps Ferry Road location.

In the contest, decorators were required to decorate enough cakes to fill a multi-tiered, eight-foot bakery case, a wedding cake, and a "Decorator's Choice" theme event.
