Food Vendors Announced For 19th Annual Iris Fest

Several new food vendors will be serving up treats at 19th Annual Iris Festival Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, in downtown Greeneville.

In the food court, Two Ladies Italiano will be providing Italian crab croquettes; Mediterranean seafood medley with lobster, crab and shrimp; Italian sausage with peppers and onions; flat bread; pasta wraps; meatballs with mozzarella and marinara; and shrimp linguine with alfredo sauce.

All About U Catering will be selling grilled chicken breasts with redskin potatoes and onions, while Bill and Diane Emery will be serving bacon fried green tomato sandwiches, fried mushrooms on a stick, and zucchini squash spiral cut and dipped in cheese, with a variety of drinks.

Also new to the festival will be Tamara Galloway and her "Glam Ham Pork Rinds," David Olday with Blue Ridge Cookie Crumbs and his square cow snacks that feature cheesecake between cookies, and The Chattanooga Cookie Company with Tennessee moonshine cakes and cookies.

Other specialty food vendors scattered through the festival area will be Donna Ferguson with homemade ice cream; Snow-Biz with shaved ice, fresh squeezed lemonade and cotton candy; Kevin Jones with Kettlecorn; Dippin' Dots; the Shiver Shack with shaved ice, smoothies, nachos and cheese, apple wedges bananas and strawberries dipped in chocolate; and Doc Popcorn with several flavors of popcorn.

Returning vendors in the food court will be D&A Concessions, with bloomin' onions, fried green tomatoes and crazy potatoes; Ms. Lois Funnel Cakes & Bayou Billy's Homemade Soda Pop; TC Concessions, with corn dogs, fried pickles, chicken on a stick, fries, fried pies and fried Snickers; Temple of God Church, with hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, nachos and cheese, and chili chips and cheese;

also, Ken Packer, with lemonade, homemade strawberry daiquiris, pina coladas, Blue Hawaiians, deep-fried brownies and cookie dough; European Delight, with Greek food; Cold Water Farm, with country ham biscuits, pork barbecue, hot dogs, steak and spiral spuds; Debbie Haney/Mac's, with Philly sandwiches, polish sausages, corn dogs, crazy fries, hamburgers, lemonade and smoothies; and Pizza Inn of Greeneville.

Hours of the festival will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
