Four More File Petitions For 2014 Election

More candidates have filed petitions with the Greene County Election Commission for the May 2014 County Primary Election.

Robin D. Quillen, of 2325 Fairview Road, Afton, a current member of the County Commission, has filed a petition to run for the Republican nomination for reelection in the Commission's 3rd Commissioner District.

This district includes the precincts of Tusculum North, Tusculum South, Tusculum Corporation, Tusculum View and East View.

Quillen, who is in her second term in office, will run in the Republican primary.

Timothy B. Shelton, whose name will appear on the ballot as "Tim Shelton," of 120 Little Brook Lane, Greeneville, will run for the Republican nomination for a County Commission seat from the 5th Commissioner District.

This district includes the precincts of Caney Branch, Debusk, Middle School and South Greene.

Shelton will appear on the ballot in the Republican primary.

Bobby C. Collins, of 965 Meadowbrook Road, Afton, will run for the nomination for reelection as a Constable in the 2nd Constable District.

This district includes the precincts of Forest Hills, Chuckey-Doak, Chuckey, Jockey and Newmansville.

Collins will appear on the ballot in the Republican primary.

William D. Parton, of 584 Flag Branch Road, Greeneville, will run for the nomination for reelection as a Constable in the 4th Constable District.

This district includes the precincts of Flag Branch, Courthouse, Greystone and Sunnyside.

Parton will appear on the ballot in the Republican primary.

Petitions are available at the Greene County Election Commission Office, located on North Main Street. The qualifying deadline is noon, Feb. 20.
