Free flu vaccines will be administered Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the Greene County Health Department.
The mass vaccine clinic will be held from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the health department, at 810 West Church St.
An appointment is necessary in order to receive a flu vaccine.
To schedule an appointment, call the health department at 798-1749.
"It takes about two weeks to be protected after you get the flu vaccine, so it's a good idea to get the vaccine as soon as it's available," said the health department's nursing supervisor, Jackie Neas.
"The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone six months of age and older get a flu vaccine each year, and we urge everyone to take this important preventive step to protect health in our community," Neas added.
