Great Day For A Dog Walk

Brad Smale, at far left, and his wife, Nikki, at far right, sponsored “Walk for Ruby,” a dog walk fundraiser for the Greeneville-Greene County Humane Society, on Saturday at Hardin Park. Ruby, the large black-and-white dog, lost her front right leg due to a paw injury late last year. Humane Society board member Herb Unnever, second from left, brought Princess, a dog available for adoption at the Humane Society. Ruby received many friendly greetings from dogs and humans alike and was able to successfully complete the half-mile walk. About 15 dogs and 40 of their humans participated in the walk.
