Greeneville City Schools Closed Thursday;
Will Have Class Monday

Greeneville City Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday, according to an announcement sent by the school system Wednesday night.

The Extended School Program (ESP) and the Central Office will both be closed Thursday as well. ESP at EastView Elementary and the Central Office will be open Friday.

Friday was already planned as a professional development day for teachers, while students were already scheduled to take the day off.

Weather-permitting, the system will be open Monday on a regular schedule, which was originally scheduled to be the President's Day holiday. The announcement said that school officials are "making every effort" to protect Spring Break, Good Friday and the end-of-the-yeat schedule. Closings this week mean the system has used all its allotted snow days for the year.
