A two-vehicle, head-on collision in Mosheim this morning resulted in one person being airlifted to a hospital, according to Town of Mosheim Fire Chief Jesse Lowery.

The accident occurred around 7:45 a.m. on the Blue Springs Parkway, near the caution light, in Mosheim, Lowery said.

All injuries, including the person who was airlifted, were non-life threatening, he added.

The accident involved a car and a truck, and blocked traffic on the Blue Springs Parkway until around 8:30 a.m., the chief said.

Responding to the accident were the Greene County Sheriff's Department, the Greene County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Services, the Town of Mosheim Volunteer Fire Department, the Greeneville Emergency and Rescue Squad, and Wings Air Rescue.
