Members of the Greeneville Historic Zoning Commission will consider an application for a Certificate of Appropriateness for renovations at the historic Valentine Sevier home on North Main Street when the commission meets Tues., Feb. 5.
The 10 a.m. meeting will take place in the board room at Greeneville Town Hall.
The application for planned renovations at the Valentine Sevier home is the only item of new business on the commission's agenda.
The home, built 1820-21, is now owned by Andrea "Andy" Daniels and her husband, Mayor W.T. Daniels. The Daniels closed on the purchase in late December 2012.
The home was the second residence of Valentine Sevier, a prominent local political, business, and philanthropic leader during the early 1800s.
The Daniels have been working to renovate many aspects of the home as it had fallen into a state of disrepair as a result of being vacant for several years.
