January Calendar Girl

Sun Photo By April Booher

Moneesha Bakshi, a student at Greeneville High School, is The Greeneville Sun's Calendar Girl for January 2013. The daughter of Mandeep and Rushmie Bakshi, she was sponsored in the Calendar Girl series by East Tennessee Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. Days of special interest in January include New Year's Day on the 1st, the birthday observance of Martin Luther King Jr. on the 16th and President William McKinley's birthday on the 29th. The snowdrop is the flower of the month, while the garnet is January's birthstone.
