Summers Taylor will again be the sponsor for the Greene County Partnership's Annual Legislative Luncheon on Friday, March 15, from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Comfort Inn of Greeneville, at 1790 E. Andrew Johnson Hwy.
The meal will be followed by a forum presided over by area legislators, including State Sen. Steve Southerland, R-1st of Morristown, and state Reps. David Hawk, R-1st of Greeneville, and Jeremy Faison, R-11th of Cosby.
The legislators will be given the opportunity to make their own personal statements, as well as responding to questions from those in attendance.
"This meeting provides all Greeneville and Greene County individuals the opportunity to talk directly with their elected officials," said Bill Carroll, chairman of the Greene County Partnership.
"It is one of a series held in Northeast Tennessee to provide opportunities for communication among people of the area and their representatives on the state level."
The cost of the luncheon is $20 per person paid in advance and $25 at the door.
The deadline for making or canceling reservations is Tuesday, March 12.
Individuals who make reservations will be responsible for the cost unless they call to cancel before March 12.
"Always a standing-room-only event, the Legislative Luncheon has proven to be quite an attraction for Greeneville/Greene County residents because of the availability of local legislators.
"I encourage all interested citizens to make plans to attend this luncheon, and to get their reservations in early," Carroll said in a news release.
All Partnership members and interested individuals are encouraged to attend.
