Man Charged In Meth Lab Bust Also Charged With Attempted Burglary

It's been a bad week for Timothy Ray Castle.

Castle, 24, of 875 Bailey St., was charged on Thursday with attempted aggravated burglary in connection with an attempted burglary on Dec. 30 at the Okee Dokee Market on Blue Springs Parkway, sheriff's Detective Sgt. Jason Taylor said in a report.

Castle was already being held on no bond in the Greene County Detention Center when he was charged.

He and two others ad been charged earlier this week with initiation of a process to manufacture methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia, in connection with a meth lab discovered in a home on Main Street in Baileyton.

On Tuesday, a vehicle allegedly stolen by Castle was recovered after deputies investigated the report of an assault in the 6000 block of Horton Highway.

Castle was picked up on a capias warrant and charged with theft by possession and violation of probation, sheriff's Deputy Chuck Humphreys said in a report.

Castle was allegedly driving a 1999 Honda reported stolen from a Newport car dealer. The car had a tag stolen in Greene County, the report said.

Castle was also sought on arrest warrants out of Hawkins and Sullivan counties, the report said.

Castle had a General Sessions Court appearance scheduled on Friday.
