Paden Rome Crumley, 21, of 1610 Ottway Road, was charged Friday with theft over $1,000 but less than $10,000, sheriff's Detective Sgt. Daniel Ricker said in a report.

Crumley allegedly took jewelry on Sept. 22, 2012, from a house in the 1100 block of Kite Road without the owner's consent, the report said.

After the theft, Crumley allegedly pawned the jewelry at Big Al's Gun Shack, Pawn & Tobacco Outlet on W. Andrew Johnson Highway, the report said.

The jewelry was identified by the victim.

Crumley allegedly confessed the theft to a relative of the victim, the report said.

Deputies picked Crumley up Friday on an arrest warrant at his house, the report said.

Bond was set at $2,500. He was scheduled to appear today in General Sessions Court.
