Witnesses helped thwart a burglary at a Champion Circle home Wednesday afternoon.
A report by Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Travis Hoxie said 29-year-old Josh Willis was arrested after attempting to steal a television and a video game system.
A witness who had told Willis not to return to the Champion Circle mobile home park reportedly saw the man and went to ask him to leave.
When Willis was found near the back entrance of one of the homes, he was allegedly holding the TV and the Xbox game system. When confronted, he reportedly put the items down and attempted to flee.
Two bystanders reportedly attempted to grab and stop him, at which time a syringe was dropped, the report said.
Willis reportedly fled the scene in a silver Nissan sedan.
Hoxie's report indicates Willis was arrested on a charge of burglary.
