No foul play is suspected in a shooting incident about 12:35 p.m. Wednesday at 140 Keller Road, sheriff's Deputy Stacey Lawing said in a report.
Travis Williams, 18, was cleaning his 9 mm Jennings Firearms pistol when it discharged.
"The bullet went into his hand," the report said,
Williams was taken by Greene County-Greeneville Emergency Medical Services to Johnson City Medical Center. He was not listed as a patient this morning.
There "appeared to be no foul play," the report said.
