A 46-year-old man required hospital treatment following a dog attack about 6:30 p.m. Sunday on Rambo Road, sheriff's Deputy Robert Livingston said in a report.

The victim told deputies he was walking on Rambo Road near Ricker Road when he was bitten by a stray pit bull dog.

The dog caused puncture wounds and lacerations to the man's left leg, the report said.

Neighbors said they have notified county Animal Control about the dog in the past.

The animal, which is black and white, was not wearing a collar. Information about the dog was faxed to Animal Control, the report said.
